your hosts - Don & Kay
Kay and Don Hetherington have hosted the Latown Sequence Dance Group since February 1986. Don runs the dance, providing amplified music and acts as M.C. whilst Kay does the PR thing and controls the kitchen. Both Kay and Don are extremely grateful for the "willing hands" that help in the kitchen and setting up and packing up.
Since 1986 Don has arranged and released the Top Hat Blues, Erilea Two step, Inamorata Modern Waltz, Blue Lady Modern Waltz, Rumba Azure, Old Orchard Modern Waltz, Bellevue Foxtrot, White Opal Modern Waltz, Ki-Oti Quickstep, Silver Anniversary Blues and Don also had a hand in Roberts Waltz and wrote the book, "What Did He Say?" in conjunction with Mike Witt.
They released their first "memory jogger" dance video tape Dancing For Joy in 1994 and followed it with six others:- Partners Please, Let's Dance, Shall We Dance and Sequence Dancing For The Beginner, Dance On and Happy Dancing, Country Dancing and Australian New Vogue Dancing.
They are pictured above holding their Australia day Awards received from the City of Whittlesea in 1997 for services to the community.
Kay and Don wish to acknowledge the support of their loyal dance followers and of the Australian Social Dance community as a whole for the support they have given in purchasing their dance video's.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and the Latown Sequence Dance Group has now closed after almost 26 years of very happy memories.
