guitars :

Over the years, I have experimented with many different guitars, eventually coming back to the models that I like the sound of and the ones I feel really comfortable to play.  It's no secret that I absolutely love 'Ibanez' guitars and I have been playing 'Ibanez' RG series guitars for many years now.  I love the feel of the necks, the jumbo frets, the aggressive look of these guitars and their heavy sound.  I have collected different 'Ibanez' RG models from the 80's, 90's, 2000 and right up to present date and they are all awesome !!  I have also just recently added 'Cort' guitars to my collection - both absolutely stunning guitars.  I have also experimented a lot with different pick-ups, and as a result of this, I have modified some of my guitars to get either a really aggressive tone, or a slightly milder tone.  All of my guitars sound slightly different from each other !!

RG-320 QS

I purchased this 'Ibanez' guitar back in early 2001.  It has a solid mahogany body, quilted sapele top, jumbo frets, a really low action and also two 'Di-Marzio' super distortion humbuckers installed.  This is a beautiful guitar to play.  I used this guitar in the solo for 'Hells Gates' off the "Mood-Swing" album and 'The Afterlife' off the "Music-Box" album.  It is one of my all time favourite guitars, looks great, feels great, plays great !!  When comparing this guitar to my other models, it has a very distinctive tone that really cuts through the mix, I really like it !!

RGT-42 FM

Wow, what an awesome guitar !!  I have been after this model for ages and now I finally have one.  Yes it's the 'Ibanez' RGT 'Neck-Thru' model with the stunning transparent red flamed maple finish on both the body and the headstock - it's simple awesome.  This model has EMG 81 and 85 active pickups installed, with jumbo frets,  super low action, double locking tremolo, slim RGT  neck-thru-body which means tones of sustain, harmonics galore and fantastic access right up to the 24th fret.  I love this guitar - this is truly one of my best models !!

RG-7420 BP

Finally I have been able to add an 'Ibanez' RG-7 string to my collection.  This is an early 2000 series 7 string and it has an 'Ibanez' double locking 'Floyd-Rose' tremolo and twin 'Di-Marzio' Blaze humbucker pickups, which really sound great.  Very easy to make the switch from 6 to 7 string with this slim neck, jumbo frets and an awesome tone.  Again, a fair bit of work has gone into this guitar to make it look and play awesome, but well worth it !!  I hope to really get into playing this new guitar and adding some hot new textures and tones to my next project.

KX1-Q

Here is another 'Cort' addition to my guitar family.  A stunning golden brown quilted maple finish.  Same carved body shape design as the 'Katana' but with a lighter body and high output EMG designed pickups.  Neck thru construction with jumbo frets, super fast neck, string-thru-body set up, a real dream to play.  This model also has a coil tap on both pickups for that single coil tone.  This guitar is really a pro series guitar, you can feel it as soon as you pick it up.  I love it !!  Listen for more great tones coming from this guitar on the new album.

KX1-FM

Here is the newest addition to my ever growing guitar family, the 'Cort' KX1-FM 'Katana' - A simply awesome guitar !!  As soon as I played it, I knew I had to buy it.  It is perfect for my style and tone.  Solid mahogany body with a thin mahogany neck set-in with the sleekest, smoothest neck join I have ever seen.  Carved flamed maple top with a string-thru-body set up for ultimate sustain and super high output 'mother-bucker' pickups with a coil tap on both.  Absolute fret access is available right up to the 24th fret.  This model is in shadow blue burst !!
