'Galaxy'

This album was recorded entirely on the 'Zoom' MRS-1044 digital hard disc recorder in my home studio.  It has taken almost 18 months to complete.  Following on from the success of my last album, "Music-Box"  I decided to try and take my song writing skills in a slightly different direction and write a concept album.  This album has a real 'space' theme to it, which runs throughout the whole recording with each song telling a part of the whole story.   I have continued on recording in the same method as I have been doing, playing all the instruments, programming, recording and mixing, and it really does sound great !!  I am finding now, and especially with this new album, that every song just gets bigger and bigger.   Make no mistake, this new album "Galaxy", is a very heavy guitar album !!  It's a mixture of 'Nu-Metal' and 'Rock' style with very heavy de-tuned guitar riffs, huge orchestral backings as well as many screaming guitar solo's in every song.  Its a little bit different,  but don't worry, it still clearly sounds like "Maccarocks".  This music sounds very dark, spacey and powerful, but still, like all of my albums, it is very melodic and interesting.  I feel I am breaking new ground with this style of music.  It really has to be heard to be appreciated.  Any of these new songs could easily be used as big movie soundtracks or for backing tracks on 'Extreme Sports' shows.  This new album, "Galaxy" is just over 45 minutes in total running time, with 10 very heavy, melodic and interesting instrumental guitar tracks.
