MancerBear
This remarkable and distinctive artist and VicBears member has secured a contract with GERMAN BEAR and EURO-BEAR magazines. Mancerbear has been illustrating for both these fine bear publications, and has recently secured a deal to produce a 3-page comic strip.
Mancer’s work is unrivalled through his draughtsmanlike detail, style, and raw hyper-masculinity. His contracts with German Bear and EuroBear represented through his amazing artwork, now brings the Australian Bear Community sharply into focus in the European Bear community. Mancer tells us he’s attracted the interest of a number of overseas concerns, primarily a gallery curator, whom is looking to widen exposure opportunities in the USA.
Lastly, Vibe on Smith Café was very impressed with the exhibition Mancer held in conjunction with the Southern HiBearnation 2004 Welcome Dinner. So much so, they have invited Mancer to exhibit once again over Southern HiBearnation 2005. Considering this man’s work was the genesis of the well-respected Laird Men on Men Art Competition, it is fitting that Mancer’s works are showcased in a solo environment – testament to his skill, tenacity and incredible development into Australia’s pre-eminent masculine artist.
