The Lutheran Church of Australia Logo - The Cross reminds us that Christ is the centre of the church. The slanted cross suggests the church is moving forward. A gold coloured cross - because Jesus is our most precious treasure. The Southern Cross - shows the Lutheran Church belongs in Australasia. It also acknowledges God as creator. The red flame - represents the power of the Holy Spirit. The three flames...form one flame... and are a symbol of the Holy Trinity. The circle represents our unity in Christ and reminds us that God is eternal. Blue is the colour of the sky, and indicates our hope of eternal life, in heaven.

The first Immanuel Church, at Hinkler Parade, Maroochydore, was dedicated in1962.

1976 Land was purchased at Buderim.

1979 The Lutheran Primary School commenced at Buderim.

1982 Immanuel College opened it's doors.

1986 Further land was purchased next to the schools for a  Retirement Village.

1988 Immanuel Gardens Hostel started construction. The top of Church Hill was moved and the fill used in creating the platform for the new hostel. The area from where the soil was taken, was to be the new church site.

Initially a simple outdoor chapel was constructed on the Hill, and a sandstone boulder was used as an altar.

Outdoor Chapel was used for Easter worship. The setting was fantastic. We all remember the spectacular sight of the sun rising on Easter Morning.

6th June 1999 the consecration of the new Immanuel Lutheran Church, Church Hill,  Buderim, took place.

Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving. Psalm 100.

Now, I hope you have some comfortable walking shoes on, as the Immanuel Complex covers a large area.

As you can see....the entrance leads to a drive through a beautiful sub-tropical rain-forest.  After the round-about, the road climbs up towards the church. From here one can see the most spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.  The view also takes in some of the College,  Immanuel Gardens Retirement Village, Hostel, and Nursing Home.
