| AMPICTA (the acronym derives from the association’s original name - Australian Manufacturers’ Patents, Industrial Designs, Copyright and Trade Mark Association) represents the Intellectual Property interests of Australian IP owners and creators, and has been doing so since it was established in 1965. AMPICTA seeks to bring before Australian government, international bodies and other fora, the views, concerns and ideas of its members. Aside from the chance to have your IP views heard, membership of AMPICTA has a number of additional benefits, as further explained below. |

Open Membership AMPICTA is open to any Australian Business (or individual) which owns or creates Intellectual Property - large or small. Business Focus AMPICTA focuses on representing the interests of Australian businesses. Membership is not open to the Legal and Intellectual Property profession. Shaping IP policy in Australia AMPICTA plays a real part in the shaping of IP policy in Australia. When the Australian Government wants to talk to Australian Business about IP, it comes to AMPICTA first. AMPICTA is also represented on a diverse range of committees covering many facets of IP. Relationships with Key IP Stakeholders AMPICTA enjoys close relationships with a number of key stakeholders, including IP Australia and other Government departments (such as DFAT and AGs etc), ACIP, the Federal Police, Customs, other relevant industry bodies. Respected Members AMPICTA counts as members some of the world’s most iconic companies, including Unilever, Nestle, Mars, Foster’s, Telstra, Cochlear and Resmed. Network with Peers AMPICTA’S members are represented by some of the finest IP Professionals in Australia, with a wealth of experience and knowledge between them. Membership is open and members are encouraged to interact.
