Roly Poly Female Domestic Short Hair Tabby/Torti -   Roly Poly is a very lovely young lady. She is a young tan tabby girl with lots of love to give to the right person. She is motherly towards younger kittens and looks after them as if they are her own. Roly Poly likes to snuggle up with you at night time and sleep next to you or on you when you're on the lounge. Malibu Female White DSH -   Malibu is very playful and gets on well with other cats. She has a fascination with water and taps and can often be found wherever water is. Because she is white she must be an indoor cat. Malibu would be best living in a house without children. While she loves to be patted she does not like to be nursed. Renae when she first came to us hated all other cats as well as dogs, but she now gets on well with other cats although she does like to be the dominant one. Renae also now ignores our large dog and would probably be good with any dog as long as it didn't chase her. She likes to follow you around and is known to wait outside a door until you reappear from behind it, and then continues to follow you around again. Renae seems to have a favouritism towards men and will rub around the legs of any available male, and follow them around. Renae would be best suited to a home without very young children as she can give the occassional love bite. Heckel Male DSH White and Ginger -   Heckyl is a gorgeous boy with a lot of love to give, he is affectionate and very playful. He likes to spend his days lying in the sun, playing with other cats and playing chasing with dogs (he does the chasing). He would be suitable to any sort of family, he hasn't been around children much but he wouldn't take long to get used to them. He likes going out for a run during the day although at night he would much prefer to curl up on your lap and go to sleep. He has unfortunately suffered a large amount of abuse by his previous owners. Bellie has come a long way since coming into foster care. Originally he was unable to be touched around the neck area and on his tail due to the abuse he had suffered. He is now happy to be cuddled and scratched around the neck area and is beginning to tolerate his tail being touched. He will sometimes even jump up on your lap and sit there for a while. He has learnt to get on with other cats since being in foster care. Bellie will probably take a while to settle into a new forever home but once he know he is safe he is happy to follow you around just to be with you for company. He will make a great companion for someone who is able to work with the special needs his personality has. He really deserves a chance with the right family. Even though he does get on with other cats, he does get stressed by the presence of some cats so would be more suited to a home with no other cats. Lucky Male Domestic short Hair Tabby -   Lucky is a friendly, purry lovely natured little boy. He turned up at his carers door one day, obviously fending for himself for a few weeks after being dumped. He's great with other cats and like most kittens, he's never happier than when playing with a toy or getting cuddles. He's good with adults and adjust quickly to strangers but he does prefer a home without noisy children. Lucky needs to go to an indoor only home for medical reasons. Hissy Female DSH Black and white -   **Special Needs Kitten** Hissy is a bit confused after spending the first few months of her life alone in a paddock. She came into care extremely underweight and full of worms. She hadn't known human attention and unlike the other kittens also found in the paddock who soaked up their foster carers cuddles and attention after a few days, Hissy was a bit too traumatised. Several months later and she is a fit and healthy young girl who now enjoys cuddles and will headbutt you for more pats and arch her back in delight of receiving attention. However she's a bit mixed up and instead of meowing for attention she hisses (hence her name). Hissy is just getting used to being picked up and she will require a home that can be patient and continue her recovery. Hissy would be suited to a home with or without other cats and preferably a quieter household. She will most likely turn into a lovely lapcat in the right environment. Update 29/6/08: Hissy is progressing into a very affectionate cat. She loves attention and rushes to you for pats and caresses. She's tolerant of being picked up but is yet to truly enjoy a good cuddle. She is happy being nose to nose for kisses and although she is still hissing at odd moments, she seems to be starting to learn to meow and squeak for attention like a normal cat. Snowflake, Kozi and Tinkerbelle 2 Male, 1 Female DSH tabby -   Tinkerbelle & Snowflake on hold These 3 gorgeous kittens were left without a mum at about 3 weeks of age when she was hit by a car. They were bottle fed from then on. Snowflake - RIGHT KITTEN IN THE PHOTO - is the most outgoing of the 3, and also the largest. He is the one who will always be found where he isn't supposed to be. He runs around chasing the other 2 a lot and also likes to be around our large dog. Kozi - LEFT KITTEN IN THE PHOTO - has a very unusual coat - it is almost spotty, and his stomach is all spotty - dark spots on a whitish background. Kozi is the most reserved of the 3 but still loves to run around with the other 2. He seems to understand a bit more than the other 2 that some things may cause him to get hurt, and he avoids these situations - he's a very clever little boy. Tinka - MIDDLE KITTEN IN THE PHOTO - has the most gorgeous face. She is a very petite little girl but that doesn't stop her running around at full speed either chasing her brothers or being chased by them. These 3 kittens have all been raised with a large dog as well as other cats and are very at ease with these animals. They especially like to go to one of the older cats and get themselves cleaned by him. Chloe Female DSH Torti -   On Hold Poor Chloe is only 9 months old and has already had kittens, she was found in an empty house with her babies after her people moved out and left them locked in, the kittens are now reared and have gone to their new homes and Chloe is ready for her new home too. She is a lovely friendly, pretty girl with a short coat but the loveliest bushy tail which she keeps very neat and tidy she is being cared for in the Wollongong area. She is full of life, has an extremely loud purr and considering she is very young now, it will get louder. Sulo was found in a garbage bin (hence the name) by a school cleaner. He heard a russle in the garbage bag when he emptied the bin, thought the noise would be a rat, and was extremely surprised to see a tiny kitten (about 4 weeks of age) looking up at him. He took her to the local vets (after checking if any others were in the bin as well) and she was kept there till she could eat properly. It's anybodies guess how she got to be in the bin, but it would have been impossible for her to climb in there herself. Sulo gets on well with other cats and kittens as well as a large dog. She loves to jump out and grab you around the ankle as you walk by. Lately her trick is to lay low so she thinks you can't see her but doesn't realise her ears are sticking up. Very cute. Sulo would be fantastic for a family with slightly older kids, as she does like to play roughly with you rolling around and pouncing Sulo will need to be an inside only cat all her life because of her pink nose. Lucky Male DSH Tabby and White-   Lucky was rescued as an stray kitten when only 3 weeks old. Sadly he's had the cat flu since that time and it's affected him quite badly. He came to us with a runny nose, runny eyes, congested cough and a coat that was dirty and ungroomed. He's made leaps and bounds in the few weeks he's been in care and been receiving medication, he's now a chubby little boy with a clean, well kept coat. He's poor skin condition is improving and his flu is almost all cleared up. He still has runny eyes and sadly may have this as an ongoing result of the flu, but it is more than likely it will clear up. Lucky is a friendly, cuddly boy who enjoys the company of other cats and is a real little purrer.
