Horses Please see below horses available for adoption. These horses have been rescued by volunteer Foster Carers and are still in need of a permanent new home. Please note that descriptions of breed, age and size are given in good faith and are based on assessment of the animals features. The age and breed of a horse may be determined by tracing its brands, however, this is beyond the scope of the organisation. Horses are rescued from pounds, salesyards or knackeries in SYDNEY, Australia. Many are victims of the drought, neglect or simply no longer wanted by their owners. Foster carers in the Sydney area are needed so that more horses can be rescued.

Sharni Arab Gelding - 16yrs   Sharni is a stunning looking arab with amazing paces. He is about 14.2hh, and has a very happy, life-loving nature. Sharni has been well-handled, but never broken to saddle. He needs an experienced home where his education will be continued. Cosmic Bay Gelding 14.3hh - 9yrs   He's great to float, easy to shoe, worm and handle. Due to ongoing back/chiro problems he's suited as a companion horse only at this stage, he cannot be ridden again without long term specialist chiro/physio work. Price On Application. He is a very pretty boy and will make a great riding horse with the right education. Keto is currently being broken in and is going very well, he's a quick learner and is very willing. Started by a caring and sensitive rider he has a very soft mouth and a reliable stop however he's young and full of energy so will need an owner who is dedicated to excercising him, he's currently being worked 4 times a week. Please note he has a cloudy eye on the near side due to a previous injury. He will make a great pleasure or trail horse or would especially suit PC or ARC. He has an extremely active mind and gets bored very easily therefore he needs to be kept mentally active as well as physically. He has never raced so does not have a bad stop or awkward turns as some ex racers do, he had a late start to his ridden education through no fault of his own. Keto is available to a capable rider only, who is experienced in starting horses under saddle & can continue his education. Zeus Thoroughbred gelding - 20years   Zeus is a kind, gentle, older boy. He is about 16hh and in good condition. Zeus is well-educated and has served his various riders well. He is a bit stiff from arthritis and deserves a quieter lifestyle. He would suit being a companion horse and giving occasional gentle rides to the grandkids.
