Frederick Fosdick

Birth: 24 April, 1850.
Death: 7 July, 1924 in Fitchburg.
Married : 24 April, 1873 - on his Birthday.
Wife: Lucy M. Hill of Groton MA.

1 - Frederick Woodbury Fosdick b: 28 April, 1875., Worcester.., MA
2 - Nellie Fosdick b: 5 November, 1878.
3 - Richard Coffin Fosdick b:20 April, 1883.
4 - Miriam Eddy Fosdick b: 26 December, 1890.

During 1870 he started working as a draftsman for a local machine company based in Fitchburg,
over many years he was to become one of the leading machinery manufactures in Fitchburg.
The company was later to gain a large name with exports into Europe, with sales to most states
in the United States, Canada and a large inventory comprising - some very famous Companies.
He served as the president of the Fitchburg Steam Engine Company, as well as serving the Rollstone
Congregational Church in many roles for a period of nearly 40 years. Within the church can be
found a " Stained Glass " window which was dedicated to him by his Family back in (1928 )
He filled many important roles within the community also to become Lord Mayor of Fitchburg.

Charles Fosdick

Birth: 9 March, 1848 in Groton., Middlesex.., MA
Married: 1 October 1874
Wife: Mary Louise Snow

1 - Margaret Willis Fosdick b: 1 August, 1875 in Fitchburg., Worcester.., MA
2 - Charles Mussey Fosdick b: 15 November, 1877 in Fitchburg., Worcester.., MA
3 - Elsie Woodbury Fosdick b: 26 August, 1882 in Fitchburg., Worcester.., MA
4 - Marion Lawrence Fosdick b: 31 July, 1898.

The senior of his brother Frederick, Charles began his business career working in Fitchburg and served
in many capacities in relation to automatic drills and steam engines as well as work within the school
board of which he gave much of his time, he was superintendent of the Fitchburg Steam Engine Company
for many years - and on retirement put a lot of time into genealogy ( especially his own family ) as well
as being of member of the Fitchburg Historical Society where he spent a lot of time not only donating, but
also in the research and correspondence field.

~ Charles and Frederick were from a family of nine children - four Sisters and three Brothers ~
