So. Here we are again.

A couple of  good hectares between entries now, even time to put some words down now is limited, with an 8:00 am rise tomorrow. Now continuing the entry the following day.

3 times in the last week the rain has pissed down upon me, the worst example last Sunday. I was photographing a wedding for a friend of my brother. The bride was supposed to be getting ready at Toorak, though unbeknownst to me, she was still being preened at the salon. I dashed from my car with 2 camera bags and a heavy tripod. The rain hammered down on my manic and stooped body as I shuffled through the front gate to the first floor apartment, when on arrival no one was there. The rain stopped. Both myself and the gear was soaked. As I grimly reminded my assistant,

"that's another fine mess you've got me into"

The schedule for the day, and the distance between locations was ridiculous. Bride gets ready in Toorak. Bride and Groom married in Woodend. Photography after at Marist Brothers Retreat at the foothills of Mount Macedon. Reception back at Melbourne in Richmond. A long bastard of a day. My forearm is still aching after a week. I felt confident in what I was doing though. It has been many moons since I photographed a wedding. I do them less and less these days.

2x40th's were also attended. A reminder that i'm a grown up now. One was in Warrandyte last week and another in Brunswick Street Fitzroy. Happy Birthday Linda and Christine.

I think I like winter now. In fact I like it so much more than summer. Where the heat exhausts me and sends me to dark cool rooms. The cold and the wind invigorate and refresh. I feel very alive walking down Wattletree Road going over the Railway Bridge, looking up at the dirty grey cotton wool sky. It's funny the way you change. Grey skies meant things like, depression, melancholy, sadness. Now I welcome it. A hot day with a cloudless blue sky totally void , gives me the creeps. An unknown and futurless proposition.

2 more weeks of school to go. Then something new starting on July 17. The ever so proper Information Technology course has to be undertaken. Though this time I have far more choice in what I can do. Software Engineering and Applications may be more my speed. Electrical principals though valid, bored the shit out of me. Was never into it, and never will be.

And I think there's something in that for all of us,

don't you ?
