A variety of models are produced to offer a good range of instruments to the discerning bassoon player.

· The “Start” model is designed for young players with smaller hands.
· The “Premier” model designed for music schools and students advancing to higher levels of accomplishment
· The professional grade instruments range from the "Jubilee" model to the “Superior” model with varying options in keywork etc.

Recent prices for the professional range of models start from approx. $21,500 with Australian GST & customs charges included. The “Premier” model has been approx. $14,500. Hard cases or gig bags and the cost of airfreight are extra costs. Prices may be subject to change and subject to any currency fluctuations.

Our professional bassoonist, Paul Blackman pictured below, plays a recent Jubilee model Puchner in the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. The instrument has been featured as soloist with the orchestra as well as part of the normal duties in the bassoon section.

Paul Blackman chooses a couple of bassoons from the selection made available. Soon, Walter Puchner makes some adjustments to Paul's specifications.

On a number of occasions, Paul has individually selected new instruments at the factory for people in Australia. This service is offered free of charge, should he be planning a trip to Europe at the time of an order. We can also organise for a European professional to select instruments.
