| The Sign of the Cross |
| Catholics often begin and end prayers with the Sign of the Cross. This is not an empty gesture. It is a constant reminder to us that the Cross brought Salvation. It is a prayer. A cross is traced with the right hand, touching the forehead, the chest, then the left and right shoulder while invoking the Holy Trinity by saying “In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
