A commemorative Mass of the first official Catholic Mass in Sydney will be held at 10.30 am at the St Mary's Cathedral. This will be presided by Archbishop Pell and concelebrated by the bishops of Australia. (Please click here to read about the Bicentenary celebration.)



Kindergarten Enrolment for 2004

St Joseph's and St Francis Xavier's Primary Schools are now accepting enrolment for their respective parishes. If your child turns the age of 5 by 31 July, 2004 they are to enrol.

Centacare Parent Line

Centacare's Parent Line provides advice and counselling to parents with children up to 18 years of age via the telephone, at the cost of a local call. Talk through your concerns in confidence and seek the advice of experienced trained staff on 13 20 55. Indigenous counsellors and interpreters are available.





Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament - St Joseph's Parish

The Adoration takes place each Tuesday from 12.00 noon until 7.30 pm followed by Mass.

Invitation to All Engaged Couples

The Catholic Engaged Encounter is a weekend designed for couples who are preparing for marriage. Its aim is to help couples strengthen and enrich their relationship through individual dialogue on topics introduced by experienced married couples. This program is presented with the approval of the Archdiocesan Marriage Preparation office.

Mass/Prayer Books

The St George Region Council of St Vincent de Paul is providing small Mass/Prayer books for the young children to read during Mass. Parents are requested to pick up the book from the table before Mass and return it after Mass. If you would like to purchase your own copy to keep, the books are available from the paper table at the front of the church for $4.00.

1) Catechists - to assist in bringing the Good News of God's Kingdom to children in two local schools for approximately half an hour on Tuesday morning.

No teaching experience? It is all right. Support and training will be provided.
