Relatedness and Relationships Discussion Group led by Graeme Neist on 3 July 2001.

What a great opening night! We can hardly wait for more. Graeme really helped us look at where there is a collapse in relationships, who we are being in relationships and without pain there is no growth.

Herewith are some of the comments from the participants:

    "Fun, interesting!" ..... Natasha

"Very confronting, reinforced the importance of love!" ..... Toni

"I am loved no matter what - especially by God.

Brother Graeme Neist, made us feel very comfortable." ..... Cate

"I found it confronting but exactly what I need to learn to love myself." ..... Natalia

"Very good. A must for all couples getting married or in relationship." .....Robert

The next speaker on 10th July (Tuesday) is Godwin Vaz, a psychologist.

April night of dinner, socialising and dancing at the St George Leagues Club Well another great night had by all. A huge thank you to Nino for organising such a great night, which was full of surprises and tricks! Who would have imagined that he had so many other things "up his sleeve"! He even arranged for our own private dining area! I see we have a group of born organisers... some of the guys arranged the tables in the dining area and later went ahead upstairs to mind tables for the rest of us. Then before we knew it, Michael had lovely bright flowers arranged on the tables - not only coordinated but resourceful. Thanks guys.

March Social Get Together & BBQ March brought drier conditions when Alfred Gellel organised a BBQ at the Lander Centre. Alfred did an excellent job organising everything from beginning to end. A little help from his sisters Doris and Grace can't go unmentioned and Maree Vicq who helped behind the scenes. For anyone who knows Nino Soccio - the Fred Astair of the group - gave dance lessons and before you knew it everyone was doing the Samba and the Meringue. Tonnes of fun!

February outing was Twilight at Taronga Zoo (outdoor picnic style) where Irish Celtic music was performed by a number of entertainers including the three Irish Tenors. The night proved that we have a group of staunch members who endured a very wet evening. Everyone hung in there - a bunch of good sports!

January Outing The group went to Sports Central at Fox Studios, which was very thoughtfully organised by Steven Sammut. The Group met for a drink before eating at the restaurant and after the meal progressed to the bowling alley. We heard a few good dinner stories, how some people had not bowled for years and a lot of the group had never bowled before! Well, it might be that this group of people will introduce Ten Pin Bowling as an event at the next Olympic games. Some of these so-called never before bowlers bowled 5 strikes! I am still wondering whether they are pulling our leg. Anyway, it was quite hilarious seeing all the different techniques of how to bowl and of course there was a little sparring which urged us all on.

Needless to say everyone had a most enjoyable evening.
