About Us
Melissa and Pete are inspired
by eastern, western, and earth-based spiritual
traditions, the shared teachings of indigenous cultures
and tribal wisdoms,
a passion for 'wild places', with a focus for a more
'natural', organic, sustainable, and cruelty-free lifestyle.
Pete has
'formally' trained in both core shamanism, and
contempory shamanic practices. He is trained as a sweat
lodge facilitator. And has been initiated into the
contempory Druidic tradition. Pete has facilitated
public seasonal ceremonies and has been a sound
journey facilitator for several years. He has also
offered sound and energy healing over this time.
His interests also include the practice of marital arts, the use of herbs, incenses,
and plant medicines. As well as having creative artistic
pursuits.
Melissa is a
regular practitioner of the sweat lodge, which has included
facilitator training, and has been an active part of sacred
women's circles over many years. She is also a freelance
photographer who contributes regularly to the Inspire
Journal.
Together they aim to promote healing, self-realisation,
unity, community, and an awakening of awareness and
greater
consciousness.
I sit amongst entwining roots,
Within branches of the ancestral tree,
I reconcile this soul they touch,
Bridging paths though sacred earth.
I feel the land within my skin,
Watching clouds in southern skies,
I wear the feathers of vision flight,
An eagle eye that flies up high.
Across dancing winds, through Native trees,
With the healing scent of blossom and leaves,
Seasons of these southern lands,
Red earth beneath these travelled feet.
And I stand beneath the southern cross,
A tree amongst the night time sky,
Ceremonies under the silvery leaves,
A web of circles within the land.
Like the fire within the sacred stone,
The light within the Earth,
The man upon the rock I am,
Within a circle of many I sit.
I share this place of ancient myth,
My heart within these sacred lands,
I hear the voice of spirit song,
A song for those of sacred ways.
