Why
This Compilation?
In The
Little Green Handbook, I discuss seven groups of critical global trends,
which threaten our future and the future of our children. We have to
find solutions to all of them or at least to as many as we can manage.
Many individuals, groups,
and organisations work on solutions to environmental and social problems. However,
it appears that they work in virtual isolation with little or no communication
between them, and that not many people see what they do. This directory, arranged
under the same headings as used in The Little Green Handbook, might
help in seeing global efforts in a more clear perspective.
The
focus of this compilation is on practical solutions.
Included are:
- Links to people offering
or using practical solutions
- Links to people discussing
and proposing practical solutions
- Links to outstanding
research aimed at finding practical solutions
The aim of this directory
is to show that we have expertise, technology, and good will to solve critical
problems. The aim is also to make these individuals and organisations visible,
and to create a better support for them.
