Geocalc Sub-Versions:
There have been some hardware changes between the HP Calculator models, including keyboard layout, screen sizing, etc which has impacted on how Geocalc behaves.
Because of this sub-versions of Geocalc were required. You basically require the correct Geocalc version to operate correctly on the required calculator.
The sub-versions are as follows:
v3.2 (HP49G, HP48GII & HP49G+)
v3.1b (HP48GX & HP48G+)

Old & Faithful HP48GX:
The following 4 photos is of my own personal HP48GX.
Purchased in 1994 this old companion has stood the test of time.
As a Surveyor's faithful tool, this calculator has travelled a large territory.
Still in good working order, this HP48GX as you can see has coped a beating.
She's endured the wet dense tropical rainforest of Far North QLD to the sultry and humid Badu, Boigu & Saibia Islands of the Torres Strait to the thick dry bull dust of Comalco, Weipa to the hot dry desert of Mount Isa.
This HP48GX has experienced many climatic extremes.
