The timber that lined the wheel internally was quite deteriorated. It had an ants nest in that I couldn't get rid of, they kept biting me so I decided to reline it. Dismantling was quite challenging as I could not damage any of the spokes. I had access to an oxy set so I heated the nuts to unseize them. I sourced suitable timber (9" x 6" sleepers) from a salvage yard, made a template to match the curve of the rim and took the timbers and template to a woodworking shop, they cut the sectors with a large bandsaw. I re-blasted, repainted and reassembled the wheel components.
