State League Events 5 & 6

Illawarra Kareelah Orienteers and Southern Highlands Occasional Orienteers invite you to participate in three days of exhilarating orienteering. The maps used will be the same as for the Australian 3 Days, Easter 2002.

Venues:

Day 1:  West Inverary, 1:15000,  5m contours,  2002
- Open eucalypt and spur gully terrain.

Day 2:  Gibraltar Rocks,  1:15000 and 1:10000,  5m contours,  2002
- Open eucalypt with some complex rock detail.

* these are the lengths for the Sunday, for the Saturday afternoon there is a 30% reduction.

Competitors in M/W-10N shall be permitted to receive assistance on the course (shadowing or direct assistance) and shall also be given the opportunity to study their course with a parent or mentor for up to 10 minutes before their start time. M/W-10N is not a State League class.

Enter on Day: One course of red, orange, green and blue standard will each be available on day 1 (1.30 – 2.30pm) & day 2 (10.30 – 11.30am).

                      Split starts are available on request.

Unofficial entries (members not from the same club or from ineligible classes for that group) will be accepted but shall not count for awards.

Relay Teams: Entry details will be sent to Club Secretaries to construct teams. 

Start time:      9.30am for first leg runners, after 9.15am briefing.

Enter on Day: One course of blue and orange will each be available 10.30 – 11.30am

Facilities:        Catering, water, toilets.

Entries:           Should be received no later than Friday 16 May 2003

Entry fees:    Senior $45; Junior $30; Family max $135 for the 3 days.
                    (OANSW does not allow separate pre-entry for days1&2.)
                    Sport-Ident hire $6 for the 3 days, payable at the event.
