.gif) The Diploma Of Hospitality is a full time, 2 years course
developed as per the AQF approved training package. The course provides both
theoretical and practical trainings.
The institute has three
campuses In Geelong, Footscray and
Lara/Weribee. The campuses are situated in the main CBD in Geelong and in the heart of Footscray;
Lara/Werribee are approximately 10 minutes by bus from the train station.
Hopitality courses are delivered in Footscray, IT in Geelong and
Horticulture at Werribee/Lara.
Training
at Institute's own kitchen
The institute provides both practical and theoretical training
at the institute's own premises in Footscray. In addition the institute has arrangements in place with other restaurants for on the job
training in Geelong.
Counseling and job placement:
In addition to assistance by teaching staff, tbe Institute's Student Welfare
Officer assists students with gaining access to counseling and extra curricular needs like accommodation, transport, making resumes, part-time jobs and other similar
requests
Living, books and uniforms
Living costs can vary
substantially with individuals due to different background and lifestyles;
the institute recommends that students should make an arrangement for
AUD$12,000 to AUD$14,000 per year of stay in Australia in addition to
tuition fees. Cost of books, uniform and other equipment, over two years is
approximately $925.00 Public Holidays:
The Institute is normally closed on New Year's day (January 1st), Australia Day (Jan 26th),Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac day, Queen's Birthday, and during Christmas from 22nd December to 31st December.
