COMMUNITY BROADCASTING STATIONS IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Curtin FM

Curtin FM is Western Australia's oldest community radio station. Known originally as 6NR, its studios have been located on the campus of Perth's Curtin University since its inaugural broadcast in 1976.

The Curtin station has won many awards and is highly regarded for its media training programs. Its volunteers work as presenters, producers, music librarians and administrators.

Since late 2002, with Retirees WA as a major access user, Curtin FM has been delivering a talk-and-music mix designed to meet the needs of Perth's 45+ audience demographic. Programs include old time music, swing, jazz, blues, country & western, soul, pop, disco, rock, comedy and lifestyle shows.

Curtin FM broadcasts to the Perth metropolitan area on 100.1.

More information and a program guide is available from the station's website at www.curtinfm.com
