Who are the teachers?
Kate Hartley (A.D.C.R.G.)has been the Principal Dancing Instructor for the QIA Dancers for the past 12 years. She has been joined by Anita Plaza (T.C.R.G.), and Katie McGrath (T.C.R.G.)
How often are classes held?
Principal classes are held on a majority of Saturdays throughout the year. Secondary classes are held on Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Do I have to be a member of the Q.I.A.?
Yes. Under our Constitution we can only provide tuition to currently financial National or Associate members of the Queensland Irish Association. You will be asked to produce your QIA Membership number at the commencment of the year and again in August.
What is the structure of the QIA Dancers?
The Q.I.A. Dancers are an affiliated group of the Queensland Irish Association and are a non-profit organisation. The group is led by a Committee comprised of:-

Can you help with dresses and shoes?
We have a limited number of solo dresses for hire but we can provide advice on the purchase of new or secondhand dancing dresses. Our QIA Dancers studio costumes are hired out for a reasonable fee for dancers competing in teams. Our shoe convenors can help you in regard to the purchase of new or secondhand shoes.
What are the starting and finishing dates for tuition?
In 2009 we will be running three terms as follows:
Term 1 31 Jan 8 May
Term 2 9 May 21 Aug
Term 3 - 22 Aug 28 Nov

10.00am 11.00 am Daimhin (New Beginners)
11.00am 12.00 pm Junior Teams (Dancers aged 12 years & under)
12.00 pm 1.00 pm Intermediate Teams
12.30 pm 1.30 pm Senior Teams
1.30 pm 3.00 pm --Muirne
2.30 pm -- 4.30 pm --Daithi
Tuesday
5.30 pm 7.00 pm - 11 & Over Intermediate
6.30 pm -- 8.30 pm - Open
Wednesday
5.00 pm 6.30 pm Beginner and Primary 11 years & under (New Beginners will dance until
6.00 pm 7.30 pm Beginner & Primary (12 years & over) and Intermediate (Under12 and Newly Commencing)
