Relax, Go Fishing!
In May 1994, Bill Hadlow purchased the Charisma and has been operating fishing trips ever since. In 2004, we celebrated 10 years of operation - having expanded the business with another vessel, The Ultimate as well as Charisma - and being the leaders in the fishing charter industry in Victoria.

Recognition such as 1999 and 2000 Australian Achievers Awards for Excellence in Customer Service & 2001 Small Business Awards, all prove that Bill knows what his customers want and is continually striving not only to meet their expectations, but also to continually improve and provide a value for money charter. Relax, Go Fishing! & Schnapper Point Fishing Charters operate all year round from the beautiful peninsula port of Mornington. Located an easy 1 hour drive from the CBD. The Mornington area provides both land and water based anglers with some of the best fishing grounds in Port Phillip Bay.

Our Vessels
Our 2 vessels, 40' "The Ultimate" and 33' "Charisma" have both been fitted out for your comfort with excellent toilet facilities, seating and shelter. In addition, both vessels have all the up to date electronic equipment to help find those sometimes elusive fish. Our fully trained staff will take you through the operation of this equipment if you wish. Both boats also have large BBQ's, fresh running water, coffee and tea making facilities - everything to make you feel comfortable and meet your every requirement

The Ultimate - is a 12 meter (40ft) ex cray boat converted to charter. Being an ex seagoing vessel, she is very stable and handles the weather beautifully. Powered by a Volvo diesel engine - with a flybridge to sit and sip a Chardy if you like. The Ultimate can be everything from the serious Snapper fishing trip right through to the perfect party boat. Licensed by Marine Safety Victoria to carry 34 passengers plus crew, we limit the size of our groups to a maximum of 25 during daylight hours and 20 for the evening trip. Charisma - 10.9 meter (33ft) ex cray boat used to handling the rough conditions of the open ocean - so she handles Port Phillip Bay with ease. A Detroit diesel engine again ensuring passenger comfort and reliability. Again, Charisma has everything for either serious fishing trip or the party. Licensed by Marine Safety Victoria for 30 passengers plus crew, we limit the size of our groups to a maximum of 20 during daylight hours and 16 for the evening trip. (Click on image to enlarge.)

This commitment has been recognised by the winning of both State and Metropolitan Awards for Excellence in Customer Service and more recently the Peninsula Business Awards. All of these awards have been voted for by our customers - many of whom are regulars and have been for many years - recognising value for money.

Our Staff
Our staff are all fully qualified. Not only have our staff been selected for their qualifications on the water, but also for their experience and knowledge of fishing - in particular the areas around Mornington. As well as this experience, their personality and sense of humour create the environment we wish our customers to enjoy.

We believe in honesty – we’ll let you know if the fish are biting – or if they’re not. We’ll tell you straight, you won’t catch Snapper on every trip during Snapper season. Others may “guarantee” you’ll catch a fish –

We will always do our best to give you the best possible opportunity to catch fish, provide you with quality equipment and have a lot of fun and laughs whilst we’re doing it. – The rest is up to you.

Fishing Licences
Fishing Licences are required in all Victorian waters for all anglers (persons over 70, under 18 and Healthcare Card holders excluded). The crew will go through your requirement to have a fishing licence prior to departure.
Licences are available on board either of our vessels and are:
$6.00 for a 48 hour licence
$12.00 for a monthly licence
$24.50 for a yearly licence and
$66.00 for a 3 year licence.

Payments
Payment for any of our services can be made by cash, cheque (personal with ID), money order and all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club and American Express).
All payments by VISA or MASTERCARD AMERICAN EXPRESS or DINERS CLUB INTERNATIONAL will incur a 2.5% surcharge.
Unfortunately we DO NOT have EFTPOS facilities.
