This is my particular set-up utilising a
240VAC > 20V 12A DC power supply to simulate a solar panel which automatically disconnects the real solar panel when mains power is available.
Since the PL20 solar regulator is "smarter" than any battery charger I know
of and fully user programmable, there was no point doubling up and fitting a switch mode battery charger as well.
This has proven to an excellent system electrically and substantially cheaper as well.
The diagram gives the basic idea only, it does not show all components.
