GPS Sample Map

This map is exactly the detail you would see with your computer screen resolution set to 800x600 (you would see over 60% more map area with screen resolution set to 1024x768).  This is a 'snap shot' of the computer screen showing just a small portion of one of the Auslig 250K series maps.   This is the detail you have of the entire Australian land mass.

You can see superimposed on the map, a green arrow in the centre.   This is generated by data from your GPS receiver and shows in real time your present position and direction of travel.   In this case you can see that we are heading north, have just left the centre of Mt Gambier S.A., and heading towards the airport.

For clarity, I have switched off some features, but you would normally be displaying graphically, your track (bread crumb trail), your landmarks, your notes etc., and digitally, your present speed and bearing.

As you can see, getting lost is getting harder.
