RICHARD'S MITSUBISHI MODEL CAR COLLECTION |
![]() |
WHY MITSUBISHI?
My first car was an Australian car, a Holden Torana, and my father had a Mitsubishi Galant at the time. Although the Galant was only a couple of years newer than the Torana it was so much better, I got rid of the terrible Torana and bought a Galant myself. I became quite a fan of these cars because they were so strong and reliable and I tried to find a model of my car, without success. I never did find a model of that particular car (1976 Galant sedan) but I found a few other Mitsubishi cars that I liked, such as the Galant GTO and Starion. Later I had a Lancer Hatchback (Celeste) and I was able to get a model of that car, by that time I had quite a few models so I decided to stick with Mitsubishi and try to build the best collection I possibly could. Over the years I have often wondered if I was crazy and should give up, but if it hadn't been for collecting model cars I would not have made many wonderful friends and seen some fascinating places all over the world. My model car collecting has become a way of life and I thoroughly recommend it.
