Jaguar 420G Restoration part two.
With the red car, I removed the motor, gearbox and front/rear suspensions and then prepared the engine bay for the newly prepared motor. Suspensions were installed plus the reconditioned power steer box that cost three times the price of the car !. I then decided to modify the engine bay to reflect the XJ idea of removing and installing the motor from the top, for ease of maintenance. First I cut the front cross mount and then added plates and bolt mounts similar to the XJ's.
Then I fitted the prepared engine Gearbox assembly from the top. I had to remove the left hand engine mount plus the right hand engine rubber mount, to enable a smooth trouble free fit.

The rest was just plain sailing.
