This part of the web page contains information and pictures on a vintage caravan that I am in the process of restoring.

The caravan is a 1958 Arrow Royal, that was made by G.J Harris in Aspley, Queensland. Australia. Arrow Caravans is still a company
in Queenslad, not building, but still selling and repairing caravans.

G.J Harris advertisments advertised the Arrow Royal in 1957, as:

" Specifically a caravan for connoisseurs.  It has Silver Ash everywhere, a specifically designed
multi purpose and dual size telescopic coffee or dining table and a shower recess bathroom.
Refigeration, cooking facilities and a hot water system make the most attractive use of all possible space. "

Indeed it is true, this little caravan has more space inside than our modern pop top caravan, of the same size.
Ours has all the features of the 1957 advertisment, with the exception of the hot water system.

It appears, our Arrow was first assembled with a plywood body, then a few years later, returned to the factory and clad in aluminium, to give it the more "Modern Look" of the later Arrow caravans.

Next, we will have a look at the "before and after" photographs
