The SSI Diver Diamond is the cornerstone of every training program offered at Ken Jones Scuba Zone. It is based decades of experience that have taught us that in order to be a safe and comfortable Diver, each of the following issues are important:
· Proper Knowledge: There are certain safety rules that must be learned. With a professional teaching system (a manual, video, and study guide) coupled with classroom training lead by a qualified professional instructor will provide you with everything you need to know to enjoy the sport.
· Proper Skills: You must develop ability with basic scuba skills, such as moving in the water and equipment handling. These skills are acquired through comprehensive skills sessions taught in our local heated pool. The ability to use the pool to practice your skills at anytime this facility is open for no extra charge will insure that each Diver has plenty of opportunity to reinforce these skills.
· Proper Equipment: The most comfortable, convenient and enjoyable way to dive is with your own set of properly-fitted equipment. As you become familiar with your equipment, your ability level increases. Servicing your equipment annually improves your equipment's performance, and minimizes malfunctions, which provides peace of mind.
· Experience: While education helps develop knowledge and skills, the key to becoming a comfortable and confident Diver is simply to dive as much as possible. Your experience increases as you explore different diving locations, meet new friends, have new adventures and explore new worlds. Ken Jones Scuba Zone provides many opportunities to keep you diving! Maybe you’re interested in exploring the world with one of our exciting international dive adventures. We also offer many regional dives, both boat and beach dives, to keep you diving year round. That's why the SSI and Ken Jones Scuba Zone motto is "serious diving, serious fun."
Ken Jones Scuba Zone does not just “train” divers, we develop relationships with our divers which allows us to offer a
lifetime of phenomenal diving experiences!
