Cross country stock trains from places like Walcha Road traversing the system...1987) You are sitting in Werris Ck yard on a 30 wagon load of pigs, sheep and cows from Walcha Road, bound for live export at the Docks. After the ‘red’ 81’s on the Gunnedah coalie go past, move up the yard, over the ‘broken’ track (yes I’m aware that its there !) and enjoy a non stop run to the Docks. It’s 1987, so plenty of red 81s, tuscan 80s and 49s and lots of other stock trains en route.
