In this activity, you are actually driving from the rear bank engines !!(see “tech details” to see how)

The activity starts with the train already on the move, from the loop at Willow Tree.

All you have to do is put it in ‘notch 8’, hit the ‘sander’ button, and sit back and relax.

The leading locos, 81-81 have FULL noise and are screaming away, and your lovely 80 class girls are

spluttering away. What more could you ask for ?

Oh yes, as well as the normal ‘headout’ view from the firemans side, you also have a ‘headout’ on the drivers

side, worked by the No 5 key.

 

The whole point of the activity is just to push it to Ardglen, although you do see 2 trains enroute, you can venture

down the hill if you wish....but the leading 4200 tonne portion is ‘unbraked’, but you can see how far she’ll roll !!
