Australia has been known as the 'Lucky Country', 'The Land of milk and honey'
and the ‘Land of Opportunity’. It's an amazing fact of exploration that this Great
Southern Land virtually remained so long unknown to the European world. The Portuguese
and Spaniards were active near by in the early 16th century. The Dutch touched various
points on the north-western Australian coast in the early 17th century. But fate
intervened before the Dutch were to go ahead and claim Australia as their own. Orders
came from Holland that they were to abandon exploration which was unprofitable and concentrate
on trade. Over 120 years passed before Australia was claimed by its rightful heir.
This young nation only 200 years old has had so much abundance and prosperity. But
our 'blessing' is running out. Australia has been given a rich heritage which is under
increasing attack from all sides. Spiritual, Cultural, Political and Constitutional.
Will the nation sell it's birthright for a bowl of stew through ignorance and rebellion???
… or rise up with indignation and take back the ground the enemy has taken.
