Hardie Grant Egmont
Shift by Em Bailey enthralled me from the very beginning. This in-depth complex thriller tells the story of Olive, a teenage girl suffering from depression. Life is the same as always for Olive, since her dad left home and she came back from the clinic, until the strange new girl Miranda starts at her school. Are the rumours that Miranda killed her own parents true? They couldnít be. But Olive isnít so sure, Miranda is freaky, really freaky, itís like sheís sucking away other peopleís livesÖ
This book definitely stands out as one of the best books Iíve read and I can see it being in the same fame category as the Twilight series and Harry Potter. This novel is captivating and slightly freaky, but thatís what makes it so great. As you can probably tell this book is a must read and I strongly advise any teenagers out there to go and grab a copy because you just canít get much better than this.
