The Australian Terrier - History and Origins

Pam McDougall-Douglas (Pam to her friends) acquired her first "Aussie" in 1966, and after nearly forty years dedication to this unique little dog, has breed well over 200 Champions under the "Tahee" prefix, many of whom have been not only very notable winners, but have contributed to the success of the breed worldwide. 'Tahee" Aussies have found their way over the years to New Zealand, United Kingdom, Finland, Sweden, United states, Japan, Malaysia and New Guinea as well of course to all States of Australia.

The origins and development of her chosen breed have been a source of fascination to her, and this led to her keeping of scrapbooks and filing away of all and any reference to the Aussies that may have come her way. This very large collection provided the foundation on which her further extensive research was based and led to the publishing of her book
