After arriving in the Alexandra region, many people simply want to get relax and unwind. Certainly the facilities at Waverley Guesthouse, with it's large sunny verandah ideal for finishing that book you always wanted to read, will help you do just that - relax.

Country markets, wonderful bakeries and friendly pubs mean you can can wander aimlessly and let life slide by you - now that's recharging the batteries.

Alexandra Steam Train
  Alexandra steam trainIn 1935 the first Victorian built deisel locomotives made by Kelly & Lewis and known as the Dorman (but known as the Pioneer due the fact it was the first) took over the workload from the German made Krauss steam engines.

One of these historic deisel locomotives is still operating here in Alex at the Tramway Museum. The menu at the left of screen has a link to more details.
