Who We Are
Complexity theory provides a common conceptual framework for TD researchers. Complexity theory views a health problem as an open system which co-evolves with other open systems through the exchange of energy, materials and information.
Complex open systems self-regulate (adapt) towards greater complexity as a result of outside disturbance or through spontaneous self-organisation.
TD researchers apply knowledge of how open systems behave and change to improve the health of humans and ecosystems.
