Two articles written as part of this research project and the pilot project that preceded it ( Connor et al, 2004) and Albrecht (2005) have been cited by the UK Government  (DEFRA - Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) to illustrate the way damage to local environments can have serious psychological impacts.
