Boney (1972-73)

The 1972-73 Boney ATN7 Sydney, Australia TV series is based on the character created by book author Arthur Upfield: detective inspector Bonaparte - known as Bony - was a half-caste, born of an Aboriginal mother and a white father. Initially, a black indigenous actor was selected, but soon New Zealand actor James Laurenson was cast for the lead role. This rare TV series has not been aired since 1979.
