Washington. D.C. June 28th 2003 In an impassioned speech today, US President George W Bush called for the leaders of "every country that we have not called for their leaders to step down from", - to step down, - or else.
"My fellow Americans", he said, "it is not enough that America is fighting to restore democracy in Iraq and Afghanistan, - in Africa, Asia and South America and lately Europe, there are still regimes in place that continue to defy our kindly offers of guidance, and assistance, - countries like Iran, North Korea, Somalia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Venezuela, Belgium, France, Russia and Germany".
"This can not be allowed to continue. We say to these people, 'step down now, while you still have your legs'. God bless America."
"These people have got to realise", confirmed Vice President Dick Cheney, "that America's security and economy depend on them getting it right."
"The Kims, Taylors, Chavezes and ayatollahs of this world have to realise that though their alma mater may be the School of the Americas - and we may have supported them in the past with guns, tanks, missiles, chemical and biological warfare ingredients, that we have a whole new range of weapons in our armoury that now need to be tested under real-time combat situations, - things like microwave rays and bigger and better bunker-buster bombs, and don't forget that we have an awful lot of depleted uranium to offload".
