According to recent reports, Hamed Abderrahman Ahmed, a man who has been held in Guantanamo Bay prison compound in Cuba for more than two years, has been returned to Spain to face charges of belonging to Al-Qaeda network.
Sources said the public prosecutor, in Torquemada's absence (he is currently on assignment in Cuba), would seek jail for Hamed as an alleged member of al-Qaeda.
He was to undergo medical, physical and psychological tests for 10 days before being questioned.
