Beef de Light
An ABC report in August 2003 said that Australian researchers are experimenting with "glow-in-the-dark" cattle. Benefits to the cattle industry could be enormous it claimed. Of course, why didn't I see it before? Every home would benefit.
Luminous cow uses :-
Lighting up the driveway at night, - a couple of strategically placed cows should do the trick.
Facilitating midnight snacks, - no need to switch the light on disturbing everyone, just open the fridge door and let your sandwich be your guide.
Trained to be a companion cow, will ensure that when dementia-suffering grandpa is lost again, his trusty pal allows the council ranger to locate grandpa and return him to the local pound ready for you to pick up. (Please do this within two weeks, as most pounds have limited facilities.)
Opening up a whole new cuisine, - beef solare, beef luminére, beef wattage, glow-burgers, etc.
Marketing people will appreciate the positive messages that "light beef" will allow.
As a vote of confidence in their product, researchers could endow themselves with these glow genes so that everyone could pick them out and thank them accordingly.
