Thanks for your site and the inspiration therein!

I am a nursing student in Perth, currently doing an assignment on the emotions of a newly diagnosed cancer sufferer. I found your site interesting, and helpful, but most of all more aware of some of the emotions that you have had to deal with. I am sure I will be a better nurse for it,,,,,,,

Thank you,
Anita

You have done a lot of good for a lot of people. Reading the stories certainly helped me. Especially the two amazons day out, or whatever it is called.

You really have set up an outstanding site!

Dear Nola

I have just spent a little time looking at your latest web site.  Well done.

I did not know of your previously battles...I admire your willingness to give hope to others by sharing your own experiences....truly life giving and inspirational.

Take care.

Sandra

Hi Nola

I think this is great!  I don't have cancer and try not to live in fear of it but as I get older and start having the tests that seem to mark turning 40, it has impinged on my consciousness.  Especially as an increasing number of friends, family and colleagues have it in one form or another.  I have passed on the site reference to them.

Stories such as yours give us all hope - thanks.

Juliet

Hi Nola!

I just wanted to let you know that I checked out your web site and I think it's absolutely wonderful -- very positive, and very inspiring!  You have clearly put a lot of time, dedication and love into your site and cause, and I have no doubt your work is making a difference in the lives of many.

By the way, it made me feel so good to see a link to Can Do! on your list of web resources!  Thank you!

Hope all is well down under. Take care, and keep up the good work!

Sincerely,

Maribeth

Nola,

I think the site is great.

My mum was diagnosed last Boxing day with a lung cancer that had spread to her brain which developed into 9 metastasised growths.  To experience what she had to go through was just heart breaking.  She ended up having radiation treatment which we discovered after the next scan had no affect on the growths.  After about 8 weeks she had to be moved to palliative care where the staff were brilliant.  The worst thing for me was when she moved into palliative care the growths had affected her speech so she could not talk at all.  She died late March.

It is just over 6 months to the day and I still think about it everyday, replaying the 3 months, the last moments, wishing you could go back.  I'm glad though that I have had the support of friends who have also lost a parent in the last few years.

I hope the site takes off for you.

Regards

John

Dear Nola,

Just checked out your cancer web page - looks good. It was interesting (and moving) to read your story.
