Janet's story
Excerpts from an email about her battle with cancer

Taking our power back for all aspects of our life is the key to living a long and joyful one. Most of us aren't even aware of how much we let others determine our destiny for us. And, responsibility is really a privilege once we embrace it, because then we can make determinations that truly feel right for us, rather than let other's opinions or assuming others actions were the cause of our dilemmas.

I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in December and have been working on healing it since. I've explored everything there is to know and have refused surgery to this point, based on my studies. I'm using an alternative method. … I need another month on this method, though it has already improved my general health so much and stopped all external symptoms of the cancer, that I'm certain it has worked. … I also believe that it was my attitudes that weakened the body allowing the cancer to proliferate, and that's the reason I write about curing the body with the mind, as Plato said, being paramount in any healing effort. Taking back your power is the first step. Learning to laugh a lot is the second.
