	Holy Martyr Theodotos of Ancyra Commemorated June 7 St Theodotos contested in Ancyra during the reign of Diocletian (284-305 AD), when Theoteknos was Proconsul. After the martyrdom of the virgin Tecusa of Ancyra and her seven companions (the virgins Alexandria, Claudia, Phaeina, Euphrasia, Matrona, Julia, and Theodota; they are celebrated on May 18), St Theodotos recovered their holy relics and buried them. For this, he was seized by Theoteknos, tormented, and beheaded.
