I am seeking information on my grandfather Samuel Young (Harry St Clair) and his family history, in particular the Irish history of this family.
Samuel Young was born in Limerick Ireland about 1872 the son of William John and Annabella (nee Stenson) Young.
Samuel and his family arrived in Brisbane 14 July 1876 on the ship City of Agra.
Samuel Young married Rose Degnan in Lismore NSW, 1906. The marriage took place in the home of Samuel in Magellan St Lismore according to the rites of Church of Christ. The officiating Minister was Theo B. Fischer. Samuels occupation was described as being a cordial manufacturer and so to was his father William.
Samuel had five sisters and two brothers:
Geraldine Isabell Maude Young married Joseph Lobwein about 1904 Brisbane.

1921 living Bent St. Toowong. Occupation: livery stable proprieter.
1925 living Orchard St. Toowong. Occupation: vanman.
1936 living Orchard St. Toowong. Occupation: vanman.
Daughter: Adeline Maude Lobwein born 1905.
Daughter: Lillian May Lobwein, born 1909.
Vera Sydney Young born about 1888 Redfern NSW. Married Henry Joseph Vinson about 1915 Brisbane Qld.
1913 Young, Vera Sydney living 208 Kent St. Occupation: waitress.
1913 Vinson, Henry Joseph living James St. Occupation: butcher.
1915 enlisted AIF 02/12/1915 Brisbane
1919 discharged from AIF 20/04/1919 Brisbane
1919 living Bradshaw St. Wooloowin. Occupation: butcher.
1925 living Bradshaw St. Wooloowin. Occupation: butcher.
1936 living 46 felix St. Wooloowin. Occupation: butcher.
May Young married a Count Von Stettin. I have not been able to find any details on May or her husband. Mary Ellen Young born about 1868 Limerick Ireland arrived with her family on City of Agra in 1876. If Mary Ellen is the sister of Samuel known as May I have no information.
May and her husband moved to Panama before WW2.

Name: Vinson, Vera Sydney. Burial Date: 11/05/1956. Age 66 years.
Part: Monumental. Portion: COE2. Section: 6A. Grave Number: 88.
Samuel had a change of careers to become a showman and went under the stage name of Harry St Clair.
Samuel died at 15 Little Oxford St. City of Collingwood, Melbourne Victoria on the 9th Sept. 1924. He is buried in the Fawkner Crematorium and Memorial Park, 1187 Sydney Road, Fawkner, Victoria 3060. Melway Reference (Edition 30), Map 17, F4 and Detail Map 388.

At the time of his death he had been married to a Clara Dugdale for about a year. He died under the name Harry St Clair.
